No, every individual is different and has unique needs & symptoms. So we listen and treat customers on an individual basis to suit them. The treatment plan initially suggested will be based on the patients symptoms, history and further treatment based on improvements and clients ongoing requirements.

It’s a safe, non-invasive treatment (no internal examination or surgical interaction is required). It’s a walk-in walk-out treatment and therefore discrete for our clients.

You will be required to sit on the Emsella chair for thirty minutes which offers a wide padded seat which can be raised up and down at the press of a button. The chair also has arm rests for those who prefer this support.

The treatment is comfortable and there is no pain during treatment. The feeling is often described as buzzing and is said to be equivalent to performing 11,000 Kegels (a common pelvic floor exercise). The intensity, frequency and depth of the contractions (10cm deep) are far greater than what could be performed through kegels.

You will feel the muscles in the pelvic floor contracting repetitively during your 30-minute appointment, however, you are able to control the intensity of the pelvic floor contractions by turning a dial on the machine, at any time.

Most people will notice positive change after one or two treatments feeling improvements in urinary incontinence and pelvic floor tightening. These initial results will progressively enhance over subsequent weeks. Most people notice significant changes to their symptoms and quality of life three months from starting their Pelvic Floor rehabilitation and with many having no ongoing symptoms.

Prevention is always better than cure. Therefore, women of childbearing age who intend to have children or have already had children and would like more children should prioritise strengthening their pelvic floor to withstand the additional weight and pressure during pregnancy or through the menopause. A stronger pelvic floor can also contribute to a smoother and quicker delivery. Additionally, enhancing core strength will be beneficial in this regard.

Research shows that no treatment should be required after you have completed the recommended treatment plan for 6 months.

As every athlete knows all muscles need to be exercised to continue to maintain and strengthen them. The Pelvic floor is just another muscle that requires exercise to maintain it.

After your initial treatment to re-build, re-educate, strengthen, tone and stabilise the pelvic floor its important that you continue to exercise it on a regular basis. The frequency of this will be dependent on your symptoms.

This will enable you to continue to have complete pelvic peace of mind through your life as you evolve and age.

Our treatment does not require you to undress and you'll be fully dressed at all times. So simply wear clothes you'll be comfortable in sitting and relaxing in our treatment chair for 30 minutes. Leggings or sweatpants are ideal and loose clothing is recommended, No jeans or belts please.

Yes, there is lots of parking in Lichfield. The closest parking is Lombard Street (WS13 6DW) which has upper and lower deck parking.

Upper deck is short stay, 30 mins are free, up to an hour £1 Monday - Saturday daytime. Evenings are £1.50 and Sunday & bank holidays are £2.00.

Lower deck (longer stays) - 4 hours 1.50, evenings £1, Sunday & bank holidays are £2.00.
